Scholarship Coverage

The Birkbeck International Scholarships offer the following amounts to recipients (tuition fee-only, first year only):

Note: Scholarships cannot be held in conjunction with any other full scholarships (e.g., Chevening). A £200 non-refundable deposit must be paid within two weeks of being selected for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for Birkbeck International Scholarships, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Language: English
• Eligible Regions: Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia, South Asia, South East Asia, East Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
• Status: International overseas tuition fee-paying student holding an unconditional offer for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught program at Birkbeck, starting in Autumn 2023.
• Residency: Ordinarily resident in a country in the relevant region.
• Funding: Self-funded.
• Fee Classification: Classified as an ‘International’ tuition fee payer.
• Exclusivity: Only one scholarship award per student, and cannot be held in conjunction with any other scholarship.
