Scholarship Coverage

Recipients of the Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships will receive:

A €500 discount per semester (€1000 per year).

Additionally, winners of the Excellence Scholarship are eligible to continue receiving the discount throughout their studies, provided they meet the following conditions:

Maintain outstanding academic performance.
Complete a 60-hour internship per semester at one of METU’s administrative offices starting from the second semester. Tasks may include sales and marketing activities, representing the university at higher education fairs, and organizing student events.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Languages Required: English
Eligible Countries: All World Countries

For Bachelor’s Level:

Minimum English proficiency level of C1.
Excellent performance in the Skype interview during the application process.
If a math test is required, a minimum score of 80% is needed.
For Art and Design Programs, a high rating for the design portfolio (minimum 30/35) by professors.
High-school GPA and grades must be at least 80%, e.g.:
- SAT score of 1280/1600
- IB score of 6/7
- Cambridge IGCSE: minimum of 2 A levels or 4 AS levels.
- Other national/international high school diplomas are also accepted, with a GPA above 80%.

For Master’s Level:

Minimum English proficiency level of C1.
Excellent performance in the Skype interview during the application process.
For Art and Design Programs, a high rating for the design portfolio (minimum 30/35) by professors.
Bachelor’s GPA of at least 80%, or a First Class Bachelor Hons Degree if available at the previous university.

The final decision regarding scholarship allocation will be made by the Admission Committee. The maximum number of scholarship recipients is 30 students.
